The number one thing I recommend is that you de-escalate the situation if you can, but if violence is the only option then try these tips below:
Learn street fighting moves #1 – Instead of aiming at the eyes or the head when you throw the first strike in the encounter. (I always recommend you be the first one to act and start the violence.) Aim and hit him in the throat you can completely drop a bigger and better skilled fighter with a punch or strike to the throat or windpipe.

If you can open palm slap a bad guy with an open handed slap to his ear, you can permanently destroy his hearing and disorient his equilibrium pretty quick. another area to strike is in the temples. I advice hitting the temples which are located about an inch in front of the ear and an inch up, with knuckles.
Learn street fighting moves #3 – when you are throwing kicks don’t count on a lucky knock out kick. those rarely ever happen in street fight. Instead, focus your kicks and leg attacks, by stomping the bad guys feet, kicking the knee caps and kicking the shins and groin. These are the best areas to strike using kicks.
Learn street fighting moves #4 – another area that causes a lot of pain is the armpits. If you can manage to slam a knife hand chop with the points of your fingers hard into an attackers armpit, he will double over with pain as there are thousands of nerves in this area of the body.
